I look forward to seeing you this evening. Some reminders:
1) Illuminare will rehearse 7:30pm-8pm. We will look at the pieces in your folder – you should already have the Palestrina (Jesu Rex & Magnificat), and I received my book of Polish psalms this weekend. That piece (Psalm 137) is in your folder [link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Sx8qemJWtFKBEPoCs_ViwbCY1qN45xrM/view?usp=drive_link] and I’m attaching here as well (because it is so late I will bring more copies than usual to rehearsal tonight, in case you cannot print).
2) For full rehearsal (8pm), we will be focusing on: a) the Mass, b) our first Polish psalm, and c) recording the Ave Maria for a message we’d like to share with the Polish embassy.
To assist you as we begin to learn Polish pronunciation together, I asked a Polish vocal coach colleague of mine to record herself slowly speaking the two psalms we have so far (Psalm 137 for SSA, Psalm 29 for SATB).
